Security engineer

Protect a platform used by insurers, banks, defence and government: keys, isolation, supply chain and incident response, for customers who are attacked for a living.

Dublin or remote, EUFull timeSecurity

About the role

Nexus runs where mistakes are expensive. Each customer has its own space, every AI agent carries a signed passport, and every file is opened in its own sealed machine. Keeping all of that sound is the job.

You will work on Shield, sandboxes, key management and our own incident response, and help customers pass their audits.

What you’ll do

  • Find and fix weaknesses in the platform before anyone else does.
  • Build and improve isolation, sandboxing and key handling.
  • Run threat models with the teams that build features.
  • Take part in incident response and the drills that prepare for it.
  • Help customers with their security questions and audits.

What you bring

  • Several years in application, cloud or platform security.
  • Hands-on work with Kubernetes and Linux security.
  • Experience with incident response.
  • The ability to explain risk plainly to engineers and customers.
  • Clear writing.

Good to have

  • Supply-chain security and signed builds.
  • NIS2, DORA or ISO/IEC 27001 work.
  • Red-team or penetration testing experience.

What we offer

Real ownership of a product used in serious places, a team that writes things down, and the time to do the work properly. The written offer sets out pay, level and benefits.

How we hire for this role

  1. A first call with the hiring manager, about thirty minutes.
  2. Your work. Walk us through something you built, or take a short exercise.
  3. Meet the team in a working session on a real problem.
  4. An offer, in writing.

We give you an answer at every step.
