Your cookie settings
Change your choice below. It applies straight away on this browser.
What cookies are
Cookies are small text files a website stores in your browser. Similar tools, such as local storage, work in much the same way. The Irish ePrivacy Regulations (S.I. No. 336 of 2011) say we need your consent before using any that are not strictly needed to give you the service you asked for.
The cookies we use
| Name | Type | What it does | How long |
|---|---|---|---|
| [consent cookie name] | Necessary | Remembers your cookie choice so we do not ask on every page | 6 months |
| [security / load-balancing cookie] | Necessary | Protects forms from abuse and spreads traffic across servers | Session |
| [analytics cookies] | Analytics, with consent | Counts visits and page use with shortened IP addresses. [Provider to be confirmed.] | [up to 13 months] |
If you sign in to Adverant Nexus, the application sets its own necessary cookies to keep you signed in. Those are described in your organisation's agreement with us.
Settings kept in your browser
Two settings are stored only in your own browser, using local storage. They are never sent to us, and they exist only because you chose them:
- Theme (
nx-theme): Day, Night or System. - Language (
nx-lang): the language you picked.
Clear your browser's site data to remove them.
How long a choice lasts
We keep your choice for six months, in line with the Data Protection Commission's guidance. Then we ask again. Rejecting analytics never stops you using the site. Pre-ticked boxes are never used.
