Follow one claim, from the first call to a payment

A storm claim at a fictional insurer, Northgate Mutual. Six screens, three people and two AI advocates. Scroll, and the screen follows the step.

Sample organisation: Northgate MutualPeople: handler, fraud investigator, claims lead, approverTime: first call to payment in two days

Step by step

  1. 01 · First call

    Rhys rings about his roof.

The call is transcribed and the claim opens itself. HONESTAS checks the policy is in force, that storm is covered, and asks only for what is missing: photos and a quote.

Tom Bell, claims handler, checks the summary and sends the request.

  2. 02 · Facts

    Every fact keeps its source.

The adjuster's report, nine photos, the quote and the weather data are read and filed. Where the 2023 survey and the adjuster disagree about the ridge, both are quoted in their own words.

Tom Bell reads the facts. Nothing is decided yet.

  3. 03 · Checks

A signal points at the roofer.

The same roofer appears on twelve claims in six days. HONESTAS shows why that matters, says the weather fits every address, and suggests a second quote rather than a refusal.

Idris Kane, fraud investigator, asks for a second quote on the four largest.

  4. 04 · Decision room

Two AI advocates. One person rules.

Because the claim is above EUR 15,000 and a signal is open, a decision room is convened. One AI argues for paying, one against. The second quote comes in lower.

Maria Okonjo, claims lead, chairs the room.

  5. 05 · Decision

    Pay in part, with reasons.

Maria rules to pay on the second quote, less the worn part of the ridge. HONESTAS drafts the reason in plain words for Rhys. The four-eyes rule asks a second person to approve.

Maria Okonjo decides. Priya Raman approves the payment.

  6. 06 · Sealed

    Sealed, paid and explained.

The decision, the evidence, the AI that helped and the rules it answers are sealed into one record. Rhys gets the decision letter. The payment goes out.

Anyone with the passport link can check the record has not changed.

The record at the end

One record for the whole claim.

The claim ends with one sealed record: the decision, who made it, the evidence and the rules. A supervisor, auditor or reinsurer can check it without an account.

Who did what

The AI did the reading. People made the calls.

HONESTAS took the reading, filing, checking and drafting. Every judgement that changed what Rhys was paid was made, and signed, by a person.

What the AI did

  • Opened the claim from the call and checked cover
  • Read seven documents and filed 23 facts with sources
  • Quoted the two documents that disagreed
  • Found the roofer pattern and explained it
  • Argued for and against paying in the room
  • Drafted the reason for the customer

What people decided

  • Tom Bell asked for the photos and the quote
  • Idris Kane chose a second quote over an investigation
  • Maria Okonjo chaired the room and ruled
  • Priya Raman approved the payment
  • Nobody had to search for a document
