Walls that hold. On every matter.
The legal pack brings matters, conflicts, privilege and ethical walls to Nexus. AI checks conflicts as work arrives and drafts with sources. Walls apply to every search, chat, call and answer. A lawyer signs off what leaves the firm.
| Matter | Wall | Conflicts |
|---|---|---|
| M-2026-0318 Brightwater / Corran Dairy | Wall on | Cleared |
| M-2026-0311 Harlow v. Fenwick | — | Cleared |
| E-2026-0144 New enquiry: Morrow Bakeries | — | Conflict check |
The disclosure letter still needs the 2024 supply contracts 1. Corran's director was a client of the firm in 2023, so the matter runs behind a wall 2.
Answers only use what this person may see. Walled matters stay walled.
More time on the law. Less on finding things.
Much of a lawyer's day goes on searching, checking and re-reading. The pack does that work and shows its sources, so lawyers spend their time on judgement.
Conflicts checked as work arrives
Every new enquiry is searched against matters, contacts, calls and mail. The conflicts team sees the hits and decides.
Walls the AI cannot see past
An ethical wall applies to people and to the assistant. Someone outside the wall gets no answer, and the attempt is logged.
Drafts you can check line by line
Each sentence in a draft links to the document it came from. Anything missing or contradicting is flagged.
One record. A lens for each role.
The same matter looks different to each person. Each lens shows only what that role may see.
- Partner
Matters, deadlines, drafts waiting for sign-off, and risks the AI has flagged.
- Associate
The matter file, research with sources, and drafts to work on.
- Conflicts team
New enquiries, search hits and the decisions waiting for them.
- Risk and compliance
Walls, blocked attempts, privilege marks and sealed decisions.
- Knowledge lawyer
Precedents and clause banks, kept current from sealed final versions.

Open
An enquiry arrives. The pack reads it and lists the parties.
Check
Every party is searched across the firm. Hits go to the conflicts team.
Work
Lawyers work behind the wall, with AI that drafts and cites its sources.
Seal
Clearances, walls and sign-offs are sealed and time-stamped.

Every matter, with its walls
Each matter shows who is inside its wall and where the work stands. Answers use only what that person may see.
| Matter | Wall | Conflicts |

Conflicts found before you accept
The pack searches every party and shows each hit with where it was found. A conflicts partner clears, walls or declines.
| Name searched | Found | Where |
|---|---|---|
| Morrow Bakeries Ltd | No match | — |
| Liam Morrow (director) | Former client | M-2022-0457, closed |
| Corran Dairy | Adverse party | M-2026-0318, open |
The search covers matters, contacts, calls and mail. A conflicts partner decides.
Every blocked attempt, on record
A wall is tried first, then a compliance officer switches it on. After that, every attempt to cross it is refused or held back, and recorded: who, what and when, never the content.

Walls hold on the phone too
Call notes and the assistant follow the same walls as the files. Privilege is marked as the note is made.
- Matter
- M-2026-0311 Harlow v. Fenwick
- Privilege
- Marked, legal advice
- Recorded
- Consent given at start
Walls apply to search, chat, call notes and the assistant, not only to folders.
Every clearance, kept as it was decided.
When a conflict is cleared, a wall is built or a document is signed off, the pack seals the record.
The parties searched, the hits found, the decision, who made it, and the wall as built.
Your risk team, your insurer or the regulator can check the seal with the open verifier.
Privileged content is not copied into the record. The record points to it.
Try a seal check yourself on the home page.
Professional rules, mapped to the evidence.
The pack links each duty to the records that answer it: who knew what, who decided, and when.

What people ask about the legal pack.
Does the AI give legal advice?
No. It finds, reads, checks and drafts. A lawyer reviews and signs off anything that leaves the firm.
Can the AI see across an ethical wall?
No. The assistant follows the same walls as people. A question from outside the wall gets no answer, and the attempt is logged.
Is client data used to train models?
No. Your matters are not used to train shared models. Models run in the place you choose.
Is privilege kept when the AI reads documents?
The documents stay in your system and are read in a sealed sandbox. Privilege marks follow the document into every answer.
How are conflicts checked?
Every party is searched across matters, contacts, calls and mail, including former names and related companies. A conflicts partner decides on each hit.
Can we show a client or insurer what happened?
Yes. Sealed records can be shared and checked with the open verifier, without sharing privileged content.
